Air Fried Plantains

Fried plantains are enjoyed all over the world! From Africa, to South America and even the Caribbean islands! In Lagos, Nigeria we call them dodo, when they are traditionally deep fried. Enjoy them guilt free with this air fryer method, perfect for eating on their own or paired with jollof rice, rice and stew, beans porridge, you name it!

Ingredients
- 2 ripe plantains
- Cooking oil spray
- 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
Instructions
- Peel and slice plantains into round or oblong shapes about 1/4 inch thick.
- Grease air fryer basket with a thin layer of cooking oil and line the plantains evenly in the basket. Sprinkle salt very lightly.
- Follow your air fryer instructions to cook at 365F for about 12 minutes. That's it! Enjoy plainly or try as a side dish with some jollof rice, beans porridge or Nigerian stew! Yummm...
